You’re expecting your next child and you’re hoping to breastfeed.

But you’re full of doubt because you had a tough experience last time.

Or you managed OK – but you can’t imagine going through the all-consuming exhaustion of feeding through the night with your eldest child needing you in the daytime.

And maybe you’re wondering whether it wouldn’t just be easier to do bottles this time round.

I know you have a lot on your mind right now.

Especially around breastfeeding.

You’re worrying about how your oldest child will feel about the new baby if you're spending all your time feeding them. You’re wondering how to maintain your deep bond with your eldest when you'll have your attention divided with the new baby

You remember it being so exhausting and tiring with your first-born, and you’re anxious about how you could possibly cope with breastfeeding with another child running around you.

Perhaps you’re grieving that your previous breastfeeding experience didn't go as you expected and you’re hoping it will work out this time… but feeling guilty that you mourn the experience when you have a perfectly healthy toddler now

Or maybe you’re battling nursing aversion with your toddler while pregnant – and wondering how whether breastfeeding two children at once is feasible. Perhaps you're even thinking that you should be weaning your nursling – even though neither of you are ready.

Or possibly even you had a great experience first time round and are feeling really confident that things will go well again – but there's a niggle when you compare your journey to others and you're wondering whether you should be thinking ahead to the face that it might not go so well.

Breastfeeding my second baby was a lot more challenging than my first.

Working with Tasha on the mindful breastfeeding approach helped me to change feeding from a stressful experience into a positive one.

I felt calmer and more relaxed during feeds which in turn helped my baby feed more calmly and I came to really value feeding as an opportunity to bond
— Claire E.

Hi, I’m Tasha.

I help second time mums like you have a calm, confident breastfeeding journey.

I'm a mindful breastfeeding supporter and it is my mission to support mums have the breastfeeding journey they hope for – and feel relaxed with it.

I know the exhaustion and overwhelm that breastfeeding can bring – and even more so when you're tandem feeding two. I know how it feels to battle nursing aversion, lose your temper at your eldest child when they desperately want your attention while you're feeding your newborn, and be so completely touched out as you try and meet the different needs of two children.

I've been there.

I'm here to help you prepare for breastfeeding the second time round. It IS possible to have a pain-free, calm experience. It IS possible to enjoy breastfeeding. It IS possible to meet the deep needs of your two children, without breaking the incredible bond you're creating. It IS okay to want to continue feeding your toddler.

Before I started working with Tasha I was stressed and anxious as I couldn’t breastfeed my pre term baby and it was impacting my mental health.

With her support I managed to fully establish breastfeeding which meant so much to me. She gave me tailored guidance and we worked through the issues I had with a painful latch.

She has been fantastic and has gone above and beyond with helping me on my breastfeeding journey.

The guided relaxations she recorded for me have helped me further bond with my baby.

All video training is pre-recorded and broken down into bite-sized chunks so you can watch it whenever works best for you during the week. They will be released each week on the Monday, starting on 8 January 2024.

Each Friday at 8.30pm I will come on live to offer a mindset tip and host a Q&A session to answer all your questions that arise over the course of the week.

  • A workbook each week so that by the end of the course you will have a full breastfeeding plan

  • A four-week journal with daily prompts to help you unpick you thoughts, beliefs and worries around breastfeeding again

  • Recorded guided meditations, breathwork and affirmations

  • Access to the Mindful Breastfeeding app for guided meditations, affirmations and journalling on the go

We will connect together as a community in Facebook to ask questions, write updates and complete each week's tasks in between sessions. This is the magic of the programme – a community of other mums planning to breastfeed and supporting each other!

You will have lifetime access to replays and trainings.

Ready to get confident with breastfeeding your next baby?

How is this course different from other breastfeeding courses?

Honestly? The mindful element. It’s completely missing in most breastfeeding courses – and I find that so hard to understand because remaining calm and managing stress are THE most important things to do to ensure your breastmilk flows.

If you’re preparing for a calm, relaxed, distraction-free birth – then you also need to prepare for a calm, relaxed, distraction-free breastfeeding experience.

Whatever environment you need for an intervention-free birth – is the environment you need for breastfeeding.

Except…

Have you met toddlers? They are loud. Demanding. Need your attention now. And let you know when you’re not getting it right

So if this is your second breastfeeding experience then you probably have an older child – who needs you just as much as your new baby will – but in very different ways. And so remaining calm and relaxed is much harder – and so learning how to do it ALL the more important.

One more thing…

This course is uniquely focused on second-time mums. Meaning that it will help support you on your second journey - no matter what your first breastfeeding experience looked like. Because it will be different…

So you will be surrounded by other second-time mums who get it. Who know what it’s like having a toddler climbing all over you as soon as you sit down for a feed. Who can’t imagine how they’ll cope with sleepless nights AND the boundless energy of a toddler.

We start on Monday 13 November. All the teaching videos are pre-recorded and around 10 minutes long - so you don’t have the pressure to attend live and can fit the training into your hectic life. There will be a live mindset and Q&A session every Thursday at 8.30pm – hopefully after bedtime, but if you need to, be there with the baby, the toddler, in your pyjamas.

Embrace the chaos. Do it with the drama.

Before I joined I always assumed [breastfeeding] would be difficult based on the experiences of friends and I wasn’t sure if I was being naïve for planning on doing it.

The biggest thing I got out of the programme was the sense of confidence and being prepared which came from learning what to expect in those early days.

I think you can’t put a value on having the confidence and boost in your self-esteem to go into those early days feeling more confident and prepared. I’ve learnt to look past any previous negative narratives I may have heard and recognise that my own experience will be unique to me and other people’s experiences do not directly impact my own.

To anyone thinking of joining the course I say go for it, wherever you are in your pregnancy. You’ll learn so much not only about breastfeeding and nutrition but also about yourself!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, absolutely, most of the information is valuable after your baby is born. Perhaps more so because you can put theory into practice straight away! You can choose not to listen to the teachings that are specifically around pregnancy.

  • All the teaching is in bite-sized chunks of around 10 minutes so you can dip into it when you have the time or when you're doing something else. How much time you spend taking action and getting involved in the community is up to you, although the more you do the better the result for you! The Q&As are well worth attending live and will be around 45 minutes; this is where you can get your questions answered. But if you can't make it live you can listen back to the replay (at 1.5x speed if you like!).

  • Yes, tandem feeding, coping with aversion and establishing boundaries will be a part of the course so long as there is a need for it. If you're interested in the course and you are planning to tandem feed, I will include a section about it.

  • Yes, the tandem feeding and nursing aversion sections are a small part of the overall content; if it's not relevant to you, you can just ignore it (or come back to it in the future if you have another child and plan to tandem feed!).

  • You'll be surprised how many second-time mums told me how they wish they'd spent the time preparing for breastfeeding again, even those who had an easy experience first time round. Every baby is different, and so your next journey is going to be different! This course goes beyond just telling you that it will be different - we will check back in on getting a good latch and attachment, revise breastmilk production and breast anatomy and remind ourselves what to expect with newborn behaviour. This is especially relevant if you last fed or currently feed a toddler - a newborn latch is very different from a toddler's! We will also learn how to troubleshoot and when to get help.

  • First of all, I'm so sorry you had such a difficult experience first-time round. With some guidance and more knowledge, hopefully an easier experience second-time round can help you heal from the trauma. During this course we will work on uncovering your infant feeding story, reveal anxieties and fears, and then we will work towards a growth mindset, one that is positive and hopeful that it can work this time round. I can't guarantee that it will be plain sailing second time round, but you will be well informed on what to look out for if things aren't going well and how to get expert help quickly. If your trauma is deep and you are grieving, I recommend seeking counselling or trauma recovery therapy alongside this course.

  • The Friday live Q&A will be recorded and uploaded for you to watch when you can. The teachings each week will be pre-recorded and available in bite-size chunks for you to watch when you can. I recommend trying to watch all the teaching before Friday each week so you can send me any questions you want answered in advance, or come to the session prepared.

  • The course is aimed at second-time parents - so there’ll be lots of information about coping with two children and previous breastfeeding experiences. However, the core of the information on how breastfeeding, mindful preparation and the fourth trimester are all still very relevant to a first-time mum, and is information covered in my general antenatal breastfeeding course too. The teachings are all broken down into bite-size topics so you can pick and choose what’s relevant. And since you get lifetime access, you can always come back to it if you become pregnant again!

  • There is an option to spread the cost over two months to make it more affordable, or if you need it spread weekly, I can arrange that too - email me on tasha@tashadcruz.com

If you’re on Universal Credit, another benefit, or just can’t afford to pay full price for the course right now, there’s a lower, no-questions-asked discount of 50%.

Just email tasha@tashadcruz.com and I’ll send you the discount code.
