⭐ Exactly what belongs on your breakfast plate to give you steady energy, a calmer mood, and no more reaching for biscuits by mid-morning.
⭐ Why your morning coffee might be working against you — and the small timing tweak that changes everything.
⭐ How to make a nourishing breakfast actually happen on a busy morning — without overhauling your diet or adding anything complicated to your routine.
Ready for steady energy all day?
You wouldn’t send your children off to school without giving them breakfast (or at least trying to!).
So why are you not giving your breakfast the attention it deserves?
Most mums know they should probably eat better, but breakfast is often the meal that gets skipped or rushed through. There's no time, no appetite, and honestly it doesn't feel like it would make that much difference anyway.
It does. And the difference shows up faster than you'd think.
You might feel you don’t have time to sit down for a proper breakfast.
But to see you through the morning without reaching for a pastry or surviving on three coffees, you need to eat a breakfast that fills you up and helps you stay full all morning.
The 5 FREE shifts I share are designed to help you understand the importance of breakfast and make eating it a no-brainer every single day. Even if you feel your mornings are complete chaos and you have zero time and capacity.
When you focus on getting the right food in first thing in the morning (rather than fuelling it with caffeine and cortisol) you feed your body at a cellular level – which creates steady energy that lasts all day.
Eating a good breakfast isn’t just about filling your tummy. It’s about creating reliable energy that sees you bringing less chaos and more stability to your morning and beyond.
A properly fuelled breakfast keeps your blood sugars steady and helps you remain the calmer parent you hope to be.
Your breakfast should be your #1 source of energy across your entire day.
This isn't about eating perfectly. It's about eating smarter… starting with breakfast.
It might surprise you to know that I don’t start my day with green juices… and I used to skip breakfast too. I always used to say that I just wasn’t a breakfast eater.
But when I trained as a nutritional therapist and then became a mum, I realised that I wasn’t hungry at breakfast time because I had trained my body to run on cortisol.
Once I understood exactly what that does to your blood sugar and your mood, I did my best to get more consistent.
And yet I still used to stand at the school gate running on a coffee – and slipping into the corner shop for a pastry on the way home.
What changed wasn't more discipline. It was realising that breakfast is just another meal.
When I got that, everything else followed.
And that one realisation is the lightbulb moment that sticks with my clients long after they finish working with me.
